The Event Map is where you will see people during the event.
People will appear on the map when they Accept the event invitation and are not in Stealth Mode or behind a Private Geofence.
Tap a person’s Avatar to popup detailed information.
In a standard Catchup, Meeting or Event, tap the event location pin to use the Navigation functionality on iOS. Android navigation is planned for a future release.
Map Controls
Interacting with the map and other people is easy using our various map controls.
- North button will change when you rotate the map. Press once to reset the map to north facing. Pressing once will also turn on your Avatar’s Direction Shadow.
- Zoom buttons allow you to zoom in and out of the map’s viewable area. If you use Locate to find someone, you can zoom in and out whilst keeping them in the center of the viewable area. Long Press the zoom in or out buttons to accelerate your desired zoom direction.
- Map button allows you to choose from Standard, Hybrid or Satellite maps. Long Press to toggle between Standard and Hybrid maps.
- Reset button will change the map zoom to include all people visible on the map. It will also change the map orientation to north facing.
- List View button allows you to open the Event Map List view providing more participant information and controls.
- Navigation button is visible in the event menu bar during a standard Catchup, Meeting or Event. It will allow you to will allow you to navigate to the event location using Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze if you have them installed. This feature is only available in iOS with Android navigation planned for a future release.
