Every event in Geoshare includes its own dedicated chat. Event Chat keeps conversations focused and relevant, allowing participants to communicate before, during, and after an event without cluttering personal message threads.
Chat is fully end-to-end encrypted and tied directly to the event, making coordination simple, secure, and easy to follow whether it’s sharing updates, changes, or quick check-ins.

You can modify the Event Chat in the following ways.
Chat Avatars
Chat Avatars appear by default and can be turned off to provide more space in the Event Chat screen.
Scroll & Unread Count Pill
The Scroll & Unread Count Pill appear when the chat messages extend beyond the Event Chat’s visible screen area.
The Scroll Pill appears as a small down arrow with a white background. Tapping on this will take you to the last chat message.
The Unread Count Pill extends the small down arrow with a white background to include the number of unread messages. This will appear when you are viewing old messages and a new message drops in. Tapping on this will take you to the unread message.
Images, Videos & PDFs
Chat does not currently support posting Images, Videos or PDFs. That functionality is planned for release in Q2 2026.
